POWERGEN International

POWERGEN International is the generation side of the industry: turbines, plant operations and maintenance, controls, and increasingly the question of who will serve data-centre load and with what. The programme has moved with the market, and gas capacity, plant life extension and dispatch under new demand patterns take more room than they once did.

Useful if you work at a generating station, for an OEM supplying one, or on the interconnection and plant-electrical side of new capacity. Less useful if your work stops at the distribution transformer, because the centre of gravity here is upstream of that.
