IEEE PES Grid Edge

Grid Edge is IEEE PES on the customer side of the meter and just upstream of it: distributed energy resources, demand flexibility, EV charging load, hosting capacity, and the control layer that has to make sense of all of it. It exists because that boundary stopped being a quiet place.

The right meeting if your work involves DER interconnection studies, distribution planning under bidirectional flow, or the DERMS and ADMS platforms utilities are deploying. It carries a technical programme and an exhibition together, making it less purely academic than the PES General Meeting and more technical than a vendor show.

Salt Lake City in April, at the Salt Palace. Smaller than the flagship PES meeting, which makes sessions easier to actually get into.
