Data Center Frontier Trends Summit

The Data Center Frontier Trends Summit is editorially led rather than vendor-led, and the programme shows it. Sessions are framed around where the industry is going, including power procurement, siting, on-site generation and cooling for higher rack densities, rather than around products.

For an electrical engineer the value is context. It is a good place to understand why the load you are asked to design for keeps changing, and what the people making siting and power-purchase decisions are weighing. It is a poor place to compare switchgear.

This edition co-locates with Microgrid Knowledge, which is a useful pairing: on-site generation and storage have moved from a hedge to a siting strategy, and the two audiences now share a problem.
