EECurrent (com.eecurrent.app) · Last updated 5 September 2026
This page explains how to have your EECurrent account and the data attached to it deleted. You do not need the app installed to make the request.
We action requests within 30 days and reply when it is done.
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Your account identifier (anonymous, and the Google identity if you linked one) | Our database |
| Your settings — interests, role and industry, quiet hours, keyword filters | Our database |
| Your notification token | Our database |
| The record of which alerts were sent to you and which you opened, and which conferences you clicked | Our database |
Feedback you sent us is handled differently. The message text stays, but the link between it and your account is removed, so it can no longer be traced back to you. We keep the text because a bug report is often the only record of a problem we have not fixed yet; it is deleted once it has been acted on. If you would rather a specific message went too, say so in your request and we will delete it.
Your saved stories, your notes on them, and which headlines you have read or dismissed never leave your phone — there is no server-side copy for us to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all of it immediately and permanently. This is described in the privacy policy, section 1.
After your account is deleted we retain no records that identify you. Aggregate counts that cannot be traced back to a person — for example how many readers in total opened a given story — are kept, because removing them would not protect anyone and would corrupt the history used to tune what the app sends.
You can change or clear most of what we hold from inside the app at any time, without contacting us: Settings lets you edit your interests, role, quiet hours and keyword filters, and turning alerts off removes your notification token. Signing out of Google detaches that identity from the device.
